Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ cup crushed candy canes

Extra crushed candy canes for sprinkling on top

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Sprinkle a little extra crushed candy canes on top of each cookie before baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are slightly soft.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies rest on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
