Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ cup crushed candy canes (about 4-5 candy canes)

Additional crushed candy canes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Stir in White Chocolate and Candy Canes: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers might look a bit soft; that’s fine as they will continue to set while cooling.

Cool the Cookies: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Garnish (optional): Once cooled, you can sprinkle additional crushed candy canes on top of the cookies for an extra festive touch.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: About 24 cookies
