Ultra Crispy Cheese Baked Broccoli

Ingredients
  

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the broccoli: Wash the broccoli florets and pat them dry with a paper towel. This ensures they get crispy in the oven.

      Season the broccoli: In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well until the broccoli is evenly coated.

        Mix the topping: In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and panko breadcrumbs. Mix thoroughly until the cheese and breadcrumbs are well combined.

          Assemble the dish: Spread the seasoned broccoli florets evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly sprinkle the cheese and breadcrumb mixture on top of the broccoli.

            Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the panko is golden brown and crispy.

              Cool and garnish: Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the broccoli cool for a couple of minutes. Then, garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
