Ingredients

1 pound store-bought pizza dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup ricotta cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the pizza dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12x16 inches thick.

Add the cheese and toppings: Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top, followed by the pepperoni slices.

Season the filling: Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) evenly over the toppings.

Roll it up: Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log, pinching the edges to seal. Tuck the ends in to prevent the filling from spilling out.

Prepare for baking: Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil and the beaten egg. This will give it a golden finish.

Make slits: Using a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Cool and slice: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Then slice it into thick pieces.

Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
