1 ½ cups pecan halves

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup packed brown sugar

4 large eggs

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

2 tablespoons bourbon or rum (optional, for richness)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan, pressing it gently into the edges. Crimp the edges if desired.

      In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir until blended.

        Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is smooth.

          Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, cinnamon (if using), and bourbon/rum (if using) until all ingredients are well combined.

            Fold in the pecan halves, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the filling.

              Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading the pecans evenly on top.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed. The pie may still jiggle a little in the center; it will firm up as it cools.
