Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1 cup honey

1/2 cup barbecue sauce (your choice)

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a kick)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

Marinate: In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined. Pour this marinade over the chicken wings, making sure they’re evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: When ready to cook, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.

Arrange the Wings: Remove the wings from the marinade (reserving the marinade for later) and place them in a single layer on the wire rack. This allows for even cooking and crispiness.

Bake: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through for even browning.

Glaze the Wings: While the wings are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Let it cook for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens into a glaze, stirring occasionally.

Glaze and Broil: After 30 minutes, remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the thickened glaze. Switch the oven to broil and place the wings back in for an additional 3-5 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning, until they are sticky and caramelized.

Serve: Remove the wings from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley and sesame seeds, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
