Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 (18.25 oz) box vanilla cake mix

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 (15 oz) can strawberry pie filling

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (for garnish)

Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using). Mix until well combined and creamy.

Layer Ingredients: In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom. Next, spoon the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries, spreading it gently with a spatula.

Add Cake Mix: Evenly sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix over the cream cheese layer. Do not stir; just let it sit on top.

Drizzle with Butter: Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Try to cover as much of the mix as possible for even baking.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool for about 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with fresh strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream.
