Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

2 ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup vanilla pudding (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

1 package (12 oz) vanilla wafers

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries:

    - In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to macerate, allowing the juices to develop.

      Make the Banana Layer:

        - In another bowl, toss the banana slices with the remaining tablespoon of sugar and the vanilla extract. Set aside.

          Layer the Pudding:

            - In a large serving dish or individual cups, begin by placing a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.

              - Spread a layer of vanilla pudding evenly over the wafers.

                - Next, add a layer of the macerated strawberries, followed by a layer of the sugar-coated banana slices.

                  - Top with a dollop of whipped cream.

                    Repeat the Layers:

                      - Continue layering in the same order: vanilla wafers, pudding, strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream, until you’ve used up the ingredients, finishing with a generous layer of whipped cream on top.

                        Chill:

                          - Cover the pudding with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results. This allows the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.

                            Serve:

                              - Before serving, garnish the top with extra strawberries, banana slices, and fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and freshness.
