Ingredients

For the Cobbler:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup milk

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Snickerdoodle Topping:

2 tbsp cinnamon sugar (mix 1 tbsp of cinnamon and 1 tbsp of sugar)

1 ½ cups of diced fresh apples or peaches

For the Cinnamon Cream:

½ cup heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish or a similar-sized casserole dish.

Mix the Cobbler Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until fully combined.

Add Wet Ingredients: Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

Incorporate Fruits: Gently fold in the diced apples or peaches until evenly distributed.

Bake the Cobbler: Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar: About 5 minutes before the cobbler is done, remove it from the oven and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top. Return to the oven for the remaining time to allow the topping to caramelize slightly.

Make the Cinnamon Cream: While the cobbler is baking, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Set it aside in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Cool and Serve: Once the cobbler is done baking, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. Serve warm with a dollop of cinnamon cream on top.
