Ingredients

1 lb thick-cut bacon

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top to catch drippings.

Prepare the Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, minced chipotle peppers, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, sea salt, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.

Prep the Bacon: Lay the bacon strips on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.

Glaze the Bacon: Using a brush or spoon, generously coat each bacon strip with the chipotle honey glaze. Save some glaze for a second coating later.

Bake the Bacon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, carefully remove the bacon and brush with the remaining glaze for an extra kick of flavor.

Crisp to Perfection: Return the bacon to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized to your liking.

Serve and Enjoy: Once done, take the bacon out of the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes on the rack. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve warm as a delicious addition to your breakfast table.
