1 lb kielbasa (sliced into rounds)

1 medium onion (diced)

2 cups sauerkraut (rinsed and drained)

4 cloves garlic (minced)

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or lightly coat with oil to prevent sticking.

Layer Ingredients: Start by adding half of the frozen pierogi to the bottom of the slow cooker. Then layer half of the sliced kielbasa, half of the diced onion, and half of the sauerkraut. Sprinkle half of the minced garlic, a dash of salt, and a sprinkle of black pepper.

Repeat Layers: Add another layer with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, sauerkraut, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Add Cheese and Seasoning: Pour the sour cream evenly over the top layer. Then, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese and paprika over everything.

Cook the Dish: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pierogi are heated through and the flavors meld together.

Serve: Once cooked, give everything a gentle stir. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!
