Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

8 ounces elbow macaroni (uncooked)

2 cups beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Meat Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef (or turkey), diced onion, and green bell pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add Sauces and Spices: Lower the heat and stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined, then simmer for 5 minutes.

Combine with Pasta: In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked elbow macaroni, beef broth, and the meat mixture. Stir well until the pasta is fully coated and the liquid is evenly distributed.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the entire mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
