Ingredients

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 package (10 oz) marshmallows

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Toast the Coconut: In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add the shredded coconut. Toast the coconut, stirring frequently, until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.

Combine Ingredients: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the caramel sauce and sea salt. Then, add the toasted coconut and Rice Krispies cereal to the mixture. Fold everything together until the cereal is well coated.

Form the Mixture: Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Transfer the Rice Krispies mixture into the dish, pressing it down firmly with a spatula to create an even layer.

Melt the Chocolates: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.

Drizzle and Set: Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the Rice Krispies treat. Use a spatula to spread it evenly if needed. Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the chocolate for an extra touch.

Chill and Cut: Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Once set, cut into squares or rectangles as preferred.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve these delicious Samoa Rice Krispies at parties or as a delightful snack!
