Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients
  

1 pound pork sausage (your choice of mild or spicy)

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and pork sausage. Mix until well blended.

      Add Rotel: Stir in the drained Rotel tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

        Form Balls: Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

          Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.

            Serve & Enjoy: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. These are perfect as a snack, appetizer, or game day treat!
