Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, combine the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). This will be your glaze.

Combine Sprouts and Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the Brussels sprouts in the large bowl. Toss well to coat all the sprouts thoroughly with the mixture.

Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Spread the coated Brussels sprouts evenly on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down for maximum caramelization.

Bake: Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Toss halfway through for even cooking.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of freshness.
