Ritz-Cracker Crusted Garlic Butter Chicken

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup melted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.

Prepare the crust mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Make the garlic butter: In a small skillet over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, just until fragrant. Remove from heat.

Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the melted garlic butter, ensuring it is fully coated. Let any excess butter drip off.

Dredge in cracker mix: Immediately press each butter-coated chicken breast into the Ritz cracker mixture, making sure to cover both sides thoroughly.

Arrange in baking dish: Place the crusted chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the top of the chicken.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown. An internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) ensures your chicken is perfectly cooked.

Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty flavor.
