Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

15 OREO cookies, roughly chopped

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Extra OREO cookies for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Melt the Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter until completely liquid. Allow it to cool slightly.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir well until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in OREOs: Gently fold in the chopped OREO cookies and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Transfer to Pan: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top evenly.

Add Topping (Optional): If desired, place additional OREO cookies on top of the brownie batter for an extra touch.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
