Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon red food coloring (or more for a deeper color)

1 ½ cups (188g) all-purpose flour

1/2 cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips or cream cheese frosting (for topping)

Optional: powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar together until well combined. Add in the eggs one by one, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until the mixture is smooth and vibrant.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Combine Mixtures: Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix! Fold in the white chocolate chips gently.

Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack. If desired, spread a layer of cream cheese frosting on top once they are completely cooled.

Serve: Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy!
