Ingredients

8 oz (about 225g) pasta of your choice (e.g., penne, fettuccine)

2 cups broccoli florets

1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breast, diced

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions, adding broccoli florets during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside, keeping a cup of pasta water.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring continuously.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, allowing the cheese to melt and the sauce to thicken. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.

Mix Everything Together: Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
