Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a leaner option)

1 cup diced onion

1 cup diced carrots

1 cup frozen peas

2 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 pre-made pie crust (or biscuit dough for a dough topping)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Meat Mixture: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add Vegetables: Stir in the diced onion and carrots, and cook until the onion is translucent (about 5 minutes). Add the frozen peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the beef and vegetable mixture with the cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.

          Assemble the Pie:

            - If using a pie crust, place it in a pie dish. Pour the beef filling into the crust and spread it evenly.

              - If using biscuit dough, spoon the filling into a greased pie dish and top with flattened biscuit dough, covering the filling as best as possible.

                - Spread the mashed potatoes over the top, smoothing them down. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.

Bake the Pie: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Serve: Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm alongside a fresh salad or your favorite vegetable for a complete meal.
