Ingredients

12 slider rolls

1 cup marinara sauce

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

½ cup sliced bell peppers (any color)

½ cup sliced black olives (optional)

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prep the Slider Rolls: Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected as one piece. Place the bottom halves in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

Add Sauce and Toppings: Spread half of the marinara sauce evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer on half of the mozzarella cheese, followed by the pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives if using. Drizzle the remaining marinara sauce on top of the toppings, then finish with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.

Top with Roll Caps: Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the cheese and toppings.

Prepare Garlic Oil: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the slider rolls.

Bake: Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

Serve: Once out of the oven, let the sliders rest for a couple of minutes. Cut them apart and serve warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired!
