1 ½ cups fresh pineapple, diced

½ cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon butter (cut into small pieces)

1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    Prepare Pineapple Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the diced fresh pineapple, granulated sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Stir until well mixed. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

      Roll out the Pie Crust: If using a homemade pie crust, roll it out to fit your pie dish. Place it into the dish and trim any excess hanging over the edges.

        Fill the Pie: Pour the pineapple filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly. Dot the surface with small pieces of butter.
