Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each, skin-on for crispiness)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and grated ginger (if using). Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle simmer, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Cook the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden. Carefully flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side, brushing the top with the honey garlic sauce as they cook.

Glaze and Finish: After flipping, pour the remaining honey garlic sauce over the fillets. Let the salmon glaze in the sauce for the last minute of cooking, ensuring it’s well-coated.

Serve: Transfer the salmon to a serving plate. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the pan over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for that extra crunch and flavor.

Enjoy: Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as steamed broccoli, jasmine rice, or a fresh salad.
