Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 large onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Toss to coat the steak well, then let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak in batches to avoid overcrowding. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for about 5-6 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Pour in the oyster sauce and sprinkle with black pepper. Toss everything together, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until combined and heated through.

Drizzle with sesame oil for added flavor before serving.

Serve the pepper steak hot over a bed of cooked rice. Enjoy your delicious and colorful dish!
