1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

1 cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

      Add the Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

          Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
