Peach Cobbler Cinnamon Rolls

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 tsp instant yeast

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Filling:

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced (or canned peaches, drained)

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.

      Knead the Dough:

        Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

          Make the Filling:

            In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with ground cinnamon. Spread the softened butter evenly over the rolled out dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Evenly distribute the diced peaches over the filling.

              Roll and Cut:

                Carefully roll the dough up tightly, starting from one long edge. Pinch the seam to seal the roll. Use a sharp knife or a piece of dental floss to cut the roll into 12 equal pieces.

                  Second Rise:

                    Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes until they are puffy.

                      Preheat Oven:

                        Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

                          Bake the Rolls:

                            Bake the cinnamon rolls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

                              Prepare the Glaze:

                                In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

                                  Glaze the Rolls:

                                    Once the rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.

                                      Serve:
