Ingredients

1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups milk

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

Gummy worms (for garnish)

Edible soil or edible flowers (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

Prepare the Oreo Crust: In a medium bowl, crush the Oreo cookies into a fine crumb consistency. Reserve 1 cup of crushed cookies for topping the cake.

Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter together until smooth and creamy. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.

Prepare the Pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and instant chocolate pudding mix until thickened (about 2 minutes). Let it sit for a couple of minutes to set.

Combine the Mixtures: Carefully fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until smooth. Then, gently fold in the prepared chocolate pudding until everything is combined.

Layer the Cake: In a 9x13-inch dish or a trifle dish, start layering. Begin with a layer of crushed Oreos (about half), then add half of the cream cheese pudding mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining crushed Oreos and cream cheese mixture.

Garnish: Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top to resemble dirt. Add gummy worms and any edible soil or flowers to enhance the garden effect.

Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld together and the cake set.

Serve: Once chilled, serve the cake cold and enjoy the unique dessert that’s both delicious and visually delightful!
