Ingredients

1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies (regular or double stuff)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

1 cup milk

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

1 packet of gummy worms (for decoration)

Edible plants or sprinkles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: In a food processor or by hand, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Reserve about 1 cup of the crumbs for garnishing later.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter. Beat with an electric mixer until creamy and smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.

Add Whipped Topping: Fold in the whipped topping gently until the mixture is fluffy and fully incorporated.

Prepare Pudding Mixture: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it thickens.

Combine Layers: Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until well combined and smooth.

Layer the Cake: In a large bowl or a trifle dish, start by layering half of the crushed Oreos at the bottom. Pour half of the cream cheese mixture on top of the Oreos, spreading it evenly. Repeat the layers with the remaining Oreos and cream cheese mixture.

Final Touches: Top the cake with the reserved crushed Oreos. Place gummy worms on top to create a “dirt” effect. If desired, sprinkle edible plants or colorful sprinkles for added decoration.

Chill and Serve: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld and the cake to set.

Enjoy your delicious and fun OREO DIRT CAKE!
