Ingredients

1 package of Oreo cookies (14.3 oz)

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

2 cups chocolate pudding (prepared)

Edible soil or gummy worms (for decoration)

Extra crushed Oreos for topping

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: Place the Oreo cookies in a resealable plastic bag. Use a rolling pin or your hands to crush them into fine crumbs. Set aside about 1 cup of crumbs for topping later.

Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined and creamy.

Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

Combine with Chocolate Pudding: Gently fold the prepared chocolate pudding into the mixture until it’s entirely combined and smooth.

Layer the Cake: In a large trifle dish or individual cups, start by layering a portion of the Oreo crumbs at the bottom. Add a layer of the cream cheese and pudding mixture followed by another layer of Oreo crumbs. Continue layering until ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of the creamy mixture on top.

Decorate: Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos over the top, mimicking dirt. If desired, place gummy worms or edible soil decoratively on top to enhance the dirt feel.

Chill: Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours before serving to allow it to set properly.

Serve: Scoop out servings using a spoon and enjoy your delicious Oreo Dirt Cake!
