Ingredients

1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother chocolate coating)

Additional crushed Oreos for topping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust: Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they are finely crushed. You should obtain a buttery powder-like consistency.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Use a spatula or your hands to mix until well combined and the mixture is smooth.

Form the Balls: Using your hands, scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the formed balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all dough is used.

Chill the Balls: Place the baking sheet with the rolled Oreo balls in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until firm.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.

Coat the Oreo Balls: Remove the chilled Oreo balls from the freezer. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork to help coat them evenly. Let the excess chocolate drip off before returning them to the lined baking sheet.

Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, you can sprinkle crushed Oreos on top for an added crunch and flair.

Chill Again: Place the coated Oreo balls back in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate is hard, transfer the Oreo balls to a serving platter. Enjoy these delightful treats with friends and family!
