Ingredients

4 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced (about 6 medium peaches)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Peaches: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Toss gently to coat the peaches evenly. Transfer the mixture to a large oven-safe skillet or pan.

Make the Crisp Topping: In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter cubes and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. If using, stir in the chopped pecans.

Combine and Bake: Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the peach filling in the skillet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
