Ingredients

1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup cooked Mississippi-style pulled pork (or sausage)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup diced green onions

4 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Crust: Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Pre-bake the crust for about 10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the pulled pork (or sausage), shredded cheddar cheese, and green onions to the bowl. Mix until well combined.

Combine Eggs and Cream: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the egg mixture into the cream cheese mixture until evenly distributed.

Fill the Crust: Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Bake the Quiche: Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly browned.

Cool and Serve: Let the quiche cool slightly for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
