Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. This sweet and smoky mixture will elevate your salmon!

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring they're well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Preheat the Grill or Oven: If using a grill, preheat to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). If baking, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

        Cook the Salmon:

          - On the Grill: Lightly oil the grill grates. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-6 minutes per side, basting with remaining marinade halfway through, until salmon easily flakes with a fork.

            - In the Oven: Place the salmon on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, brushing with the reserved marinade, until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.

Serve and Garnish: Remove the salmon from the grill or oven. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side. Drizzle any extra glaze over the top for added flavor.

Enjoy: Serve your Maple Glazed Salmon hot with a side of steamed vegetables or over a bed of quinoa for a delightful meal!
