Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

⅓ cup sliced pepperoni (or any meat of your choice)

⅓ cup cooked spinach (squeezed dry)

½ cup bell peppers, thinly sliced (any color)

¼ cup chopped black olives

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, approximately 12x15 inches.

Layer the Filling: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Follow with the other fillings – Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, spinach, bell peppers, olives, and Italian seasoning.

Roll the Stromboli: Carefully start rolling the dough from one long side to the other, tucking in the filling as you go. Make sure to roll tightly but not too tight that the filling squeezes out.

Seal the Edges: Once rolled, pinch the seams and ends to seal the Stromboli tightly. You can also crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch.

Egg Wash: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg and lightly cut 3-4 slits in the top to allow steam to escape.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are cooked through.

Cool and Slice: Let the Stromboli cool for about 5 minutes. Slice into thick pieces to serve.

Serve: Enjoy with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping!
