Italian Grinder Salad

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients
  

1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cucumber, diced

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1/2 cup pepperoncini, sliced

1/2 cup black olives, pitted and halved

1/2 cup salami, cubed

1/2 cup provolone cheese, cubed

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions
 

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, green bell pepper, pepperoncini, and black olives.

    Add the cubed salami and provolone cheese on top of the salad mixture.

      In a separate small bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

        Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently until everything is well coated.

          Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an aromatic finish.

            Serve immediately or let it chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
