4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon cream cheese (for frosting, optional)

Instructions
 

In a microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps.

    Add in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and uniform.

      In a separate small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and brown sugar to create the cinnamon swirl.

        Pour half of the cake batter into the mug and then sprinkle about half of the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture over it. Pour the rest of the batter on top and finish with the remaining cinnamon-brown sugar mixture. Use a toothpick or fork to swirl the toppings gently into the batter.

          Microwave the mug cake on high for about 1 minute. If it's still wet in the center, continue microwaving in 10-second intervals until fully cooked (do not overcook).
