Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Optional: chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for added texture

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well mixed. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Blend the Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips & Hot Fudge: Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the hot fudge sauce into the batter. This will create ribbons of fudge throughout the bread.

Pour & Swirl: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing out the top. Drizzle the remaining hot fudge sauce on top and use a knife to gently swirl it into the batter for a marbled effect.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve: Slice and serve as-is or warm it slightly and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat.
