Ingredients

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Chocolate shavings or sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until the chocolate and butter have melted and formed a smooth mixture.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined. Make sure there are no lumps from the cocoa powder.

If using, fold in the mini marshmallows gently until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Pour the fudge mixture into the dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until set. Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.

For a decorative finish, sprinkle chocolate shavings or sprinkles on top before serving.
