Honey BBQ Crockpot Meatballs

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 pound frozen meatballs (beef, pork, or turkey)

1 cup honey BBQ sauce

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the honey BBQ sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Whisk until well blended.

Place the frozen meatballs into the crockpot.

Pour the honey BBQ sauce mixture over the meatballs, ensuring they are well-coated.

Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, or until the meatballs are heated through and tender.

If desired, stir the meatballs gently halfway through cooking to ensure they’re evenly coated and heated.

Once cooked, serve the meatballs warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired. They are perfect as an appetizer or served over rice or in a sub sandwich.
