Ingredients

6 Hawaiian rolls

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for the skillet)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Fresh pineapple slices (for garnish)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Shredded coconut (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Rolls: Cut each Hawaiian roll in half like a sandwich. You can use a serrated knife for clean cuts.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar until well combined.br

Soak the Rolls: Dip each half of the Hawaiian rolls into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for about 30 seconds on each side. Make sure they are evenly coated but not soggy.

Heat the Skillet: In a large non-stick skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Ensure the bottom is coated evenly to prevent sticking.

Cook the French Toast: Place the soaked rolls cut-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes. Repeat with the remaining rolls, adding more butter to the skillet as necessary.

Serve: Remove the French toast from the skillet and place them on a serving platter. Drizzle generously with maple syrup, and garnish with fresh pineapple slices, a dusting of powdered sugar, and shredded coconut if desired.

Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy your delightful tropical treat with a side of favorite breakfast meats or fresh fruit!
