Ham and Cheese Sliders

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

12 slider rolls (Hawaiian or plain)

12 slices of deli ham

12 slices of Swiss cheese

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Sliders: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the prepared dish.

Layer Ham and Cheese: On the bottom half of the rolls, layer 12 slices of ham evenly across. Follow with 12 slices of Swiss cheese, making sure to cover the ham completely.

Combine Topping Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and poppy seeds (if using). Stir until well combined.

Add the Upper Rolls: Place the tops of the rolls onto the cheese layer. Use a pastry brush or spoon to generously spread the melted butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice into individual sliders and sprinkle fresh parsley on top for garnish. Serve warm and enjoy!
