Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 cup beef broth

1 cup sour cream

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

12 oz egg noodles (cooked according to package instructions)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes). Add the sliced mushrooms and continue cooking until they've softened and released their moisture (about 4-5 minutes).

Thicken the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the cooked vegetables and stir for about a minute, ensuring everything is evenly coated. Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring to prevent lumps.

Bring it Together: Add the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and paprika. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes or until it thickens slightly. Stir in the sour cream until fully combined, and return the cooked ground beef to the skillet. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Combine with Noodles: Toss the sauce with the cooked egg noodles until well coated. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a touch of color and flavor.
