Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour (heat-treated for safety)

1 tablespoon chocolate chips (or more, to taste)

Instructions

In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until creamy and well blended.

Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Stir until combined.

Carefully add the heat-treated flour to the mixture. (To heat-treat, spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes to kill any potential bacteria.) Mix until a dough starts to form.

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Taste and adjust sweetness by adding a bit more sugar if desired!

Enjoy your edible cookie dough straight from the bowl, or serve it with some fruits or pretzels for dipping!
