Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until well blended.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chopped pecans and milk chocolate chips.

Spread half of the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.

Spoon the remaining batter over the caramel layer, and drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top. Swirl it gently with a knife for a marbled effect.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
