Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is well combined and crumbly.

Press about 2/3 of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until slightly set. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Once cooled slightly, sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped pecans evenly over the baked crust.

Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the chocolate chips and pecans, ensuring even coverage.

Take the remaining oat mixture and sprinkle it over the top of the caramel layer.

Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle a little sea salt over the top to enhance the flavors.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares or rectangles.
