Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Filling:

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup chopped pecans

For the Sticky Topping:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans (for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.

      - In a small saucepan, heat milk and melted butter until warm (about 110°F). Remove from heat.

        - Add the warm milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

          - Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

            Make the Filling:

              - In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

                - Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches).

                  - Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture and chopped pecans evenly on top.

                    Roll and Cut:

                      - Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

                        - Arrange the slices cut side up in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

                          Prepare the Sticky Topping:

                            - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Stir until combined and bring to a slight boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

                              - Pour the sticky mixture over the rolls in the baking dish. Sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top.

                                Final Rise:

                                  - Cover the dish with a towel and let it rise for about 30-45 minutes until the buns have puffed up.

                                    Bake:

                                      - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

                                        - Allow the sticky buns to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving platter.

                                          Serve & Enjoy:

                                            - Drizzle any remaining sticky topping from the pan over the buns. Serve warm and savor the deliciousness!
