Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Add Egg and Vanilla: Stir in the egg and vanilla extract into the banana-peanut butter mixture until fully combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Both Mixtures: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If desired, fold in chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey touch.

Pour and Spread: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Enjoy: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
