Ingredients

3 ripe bananas (mashed)

1/3 cup melted unsalted butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)

1 large egg (beaten)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Butter and Bananas: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.

Add Sugar and Egg: Mix in the brown sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until evenly mixed.

Combine Dry Ingredients: Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then mix in the flour. Stir until just combined; do not overmix. If desired, fold in ground cinnamon and nuts.

Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy your incredibly moist banana bread!
