To kick off our journey into the world of Jalapeño Popper Wonton Cups, it’s essential to understand the key player in this recipe: the wonton wrappers. Originating from Chinese cuisine, wonton wrappers are thin sheets of dough made from flour and water. Their delicate, yet sturdy structure makes them perfect for holding fillings while achieving a crisp texture when baked or fried. When baked, wonton wrappers become golden brown and slightly crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the creamy filling that resides within.

Easy Grape Jelly Meatballs Recipe

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or turkey)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup grape jelly

1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Make the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Shape the Meatballs: Roll the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through.

Prepare the Glaze: While the meatballs are baking, mix the grape jelly and BBQ sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until the jelly is melted and the mixture is smooth.

Coat the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and carefully toss them in the grape jelly glaze until they are fully coated.

Serve: Return the glazed meatballs to the baking sheet and place them back in the oven for another 5 minutes to warm the glaze. Alternatively, you can serve them directly after coating. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Enjoy: Serve the grape jelly meatballs as an appetizer, party dish, or over rice for a main course!
