Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

2 cups beef or vegetable broth

2 cups elbow macaroni

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.

Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and green bell pepper to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef or vegetable broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and elbow macaroni. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the macaroni is tender and has absorbed some of the liquid.

If desired, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
